Mosta started their commitments with a good 3-1 win against Hamrun Spartans in yesterday’s first Group B match.

They led 2-0 at the interval with goals from Elvis Onyema Ogude on 29 minutes and a penalty from Daniel Bogdanovic in the 43rd minute. Massimo Grima pulled one back for Hamrun from a penalty in the 46th minute, but Onyema Ogude scored again on the 78th minute to seal Mosta’s win.

In the second match, Balzan Youths defeated Tarxien Rainbows 5-4 on penalties.

At the end of the normal 90 minutes, the score was 1-1. Penalties were taken according to the rules and Balzan scored four to Tarxien’s three conversions.
